No Boys Allowed is very opinionated and has high impact on females and males thoughts. This show will broadly open the mind of narrow minded people. It will also inspired and educate our audience. The four of us women all come from different background and different places on the map.
The combination of all of us, we will have great and interesting debates. We will discuss entertainment news, campus events, and hot topics that man and woman go through everyday. With our high impact energy, we will push listeners to listen and give their feedback through social mediums.
Miya Jefferson (producer/host):
Miya Jefferson is a senior at Tennessee State University from Lansing, Michigan. She is passionate about having her own talk and radio show, dedicated to empower and inspired young women. She also wants to use her vocal ability to also deliver that same message. Miya began taking steps towards her future goals by joining TSU campus radio station, WTST the Blaze. Previously, Miya has co-host with Ian Lewis and Byron “BE” Harper for the show The Invasion. She has one semester of experience producing No Boys Allowed and continuing to do so this semester. By volunteering at the radio station, Miya is able to get hands-on learning and good experiences. With Miya’s hard work and dedication she only a few steps away of reaching her future goals.
Ashley Hippolyte (co-host):
Ashley Hippolyte is a junior at Tennessee State University from the island of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. She is majoring in mass communication with in emphasis in Television Production. She previously worked with Ian Lewis and Byron Harper on “The Invasion”. That experience helped her develop interest in being a radio personality. Especially, with her lovely unique Caribbean accent. She is now going into her second semester co-hosting No Boys Allowed radio show. Ashley aspires to be a multi-media force. She believes that in her field, one should be able to have knowledge on all aspects. She also hopes to bring some of the values and insight from her culture onto the show.
Tierra Perry (co-host):
Tierra Perry is a graduating senior at Tennessee State University from Nashville, TN. Always loving the thrill of reporting stories and breaking news. She knew that her future was in Mass Communications. She held positions within the university television and radio station being a journalist. Not limiting herself to just being on air talent, Tierra has also worked with the Tennessee Education Lottery and Los Angeles based public relations firm, The Front Page Firm, serving as a media specialist. With a small town charm and a big city mentality, Tierra wants to bring listeners not only closer to her but to bring women together through the sharing of personal topics and experiences. She also hopes to inspire listeners and plant a seed of believing that there is no dream too big or too small to accomplish and achieve.
Rashell Buchanan (co-host):
Rashell Buchanan is a current junior at The Tennessee State University born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. She began her education in journalism, not being satisfied she turned to Mass Communications where she feels is the best fit for her and her future. Bringing beauty, talent, and intelligence to the table she is one of four co-host of the hit radio show No Boys Allowed where she hopes to gain much experience and knowledge in the radio industry.
